Heart, lung and abdominal problems may be aggravated by tension in the chest and abdomen. These areas of the body tighten when we are under stress, worried, as a result of accidents, or after surgery.  This can reduce the ability of the internal organs to function correctly, leaving them vulnerable to disease.

Gentle osteopathic treatment may be used to relieve tension of the rib cage, diaphragm, muscles of the chest, and specifically of the internal organs.  This improves the organ’s circulation, relieving congestion and helping to balance nerve activity.  Treatment enhances the body’s ability to respond to orthodox or complementary medication (i.e. prescribed by your GP, naturopath or herbalist) or good dietary nutrition.  The result is an overall improvement of the internal organ’s state of health and vitality, restoring it’s best potential.
