Between 2004 and 2009 I worked for the Complementary Health Clinic (CHC) at the Wellspring Healthy Living Centre in Barton Hill. I was

thrilled that HRH The Prince of Wales visited the Centre to present the Foundations Award for Good Practice in Integrated Health Care to our team of practitioners on Friday 20^th January 2006. We were delighted to be recognised with such a prestigious award.

In August 2007 the CHC became one of the only complementary health therapy centres in the UK to win a practice based commissioning contract from the NHS. Practice based commissioning is a government scheme, which means that local GP practices provide treatments on behalf of the NHS. Thus delivering osteopathy through GP referrals. The centre is currently leading and shaping the future for NHS integrated health care within the UK.
