Osteopaths are trained to treat many aspects of women’s health.

Gentle treatment techniques can be used to help relieve symptoms by improving the function of problem related areas.  This may be achieved by restoring good structural balance and alignment of the spine, pelvis and related internal organs.  Thus improving circulation, relieving congestion, and balancing hormonal and nerve activity.

Osteopaths are trained to treat injuries arising before, during, and after pregnancy allowing mother to relax and enjoy these times.  Treatment through pregnancy is a very gentle way of helping the body adapt to the changes that take place as the baby grows in the womb.

Mothers are usually advised to have an osteopathic postnatal check-up 4-6 weeks after giving birth.
